Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight-end. Gonzalez played in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. The NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third most effective overall receiver, he has been named the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.

Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at FOX's studio. Gonzalez has been anchoring FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past few years. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame program that precedes FOX NFLSUNDAY. This airs at 11:00 AM ET each Sunday throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez has signed a contract extension to The Falcons to run for two seasons and $14 million on the 15th of March 2013. The signing was in spite of being aware that Gonzalez previously stated that he was planning to retire following the 2013 NFL season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leading receiver in active yards recieving the last time during his playing career.
